National Poetry Month – Day 20

Today’s prompt is inspired by “Eating the Moon inn Cotulla, TX” by Analicia Sotello

and “We Know This Place” by Sunni Patterson

The prompt: Consider a place that has made you possible. A place that has shaped you in some significant way. This might be a country. A city. A neighborhood. A group of trees. A single room. A front porch. Any place that is one of your primary ingredients. Write a poem to or about this place, beginning with the phrase: “I/We know this place.” Let this be an invitation for us to know it with you.
